One Wonders is a young band from the south of the Netherlands, creating a fine form of emo-rock, perhaps not the music most progressive rock aficionados regularly listen to, but absolutely worth listening to. The band consists of founder and guitarist Niels Ehlen, vocalist Ruud Lemmens, second guitar player Marc van den Heuvel and bass player and drummer Kjell Merkelbach and Kaj Kelderman. Heart Over Mind is a four track ep, that combines intense vocal lines with fine and subtle guitar sounds and dynamic playing. 30 Seconds To Mars are of influence, but played with a bombastic touch. Muscial eye catcher of the band is definitely vocalist Ruud Lemmens, who has everything in his voice to take the band to the next level. The four songs are high quality, nicely dosed from smooth softer parts to more heavy crunchy segments. Highlight for me is the emo track with a sort of progressive touch, the final track The Redemeer.
