Dennis Atlas is a multi-instrumentalist who joined the wonderful AOR band Toto two years ago, and he released his debut solo album in 2021.Now almost five years later Atlas releases his second solo album called Principle, featuring eleven tracks, which are a mix of powerful rockers and prog rock music. Atlas's second solo album includes contributions from his friends in the rock community such as Marco Minnemann, Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, Bumblefoot, Warren Hamm and David Paich. Principle's opening track is called Surprises From Within and it is a short and sweet instrumental one, making way for rockers like Violent Power and Scare Me. Instincts is a traditional melodic rock track, while Different World is the so-called obligatory emotional power ballad of this album. Candy On Mars is another instrumental track, while the highlight of this album can be found at the end. We Can Be The Future, the final and longest track of the album can best be described as arena rock, or a complex song with fusion and melodic passages; it is definitely the best song on Principle.
