Over the years, I have become a fan of Bruce Soord's distinctive vocal style; from the early The Pineapple Thief albums and his first solo album, the self-titled Bruce Soord (2015, see review) to the next generation TPT albums, which introduced drummer Gavin Harrison. His addition to the band really payed off in more sales and very well visited concerts.

This time Bruce recorded a new solo album, focussing on the acoustic guitar, but still using modern production elements like the delicate use of samples and programming. Even more than his previous album, Bruce reflects on his personal life, inspired by the birth of his third child showing a very personal and emotional insight.

The album sees nine, for progressive music, relatively short compositions. I guess, when you expect a complicated album, with lots of time and tempo changes, All This Will Be Yours is a difficult album for you. On the other hand, if you are up for intimate insights in Bruce's life and love the minimal, close to singer songwriter approach, this is a great addition to your collection.

Personally, I love the smooth guitars and intense vocals of Bruce Soord very much, listen to the short opener The Secrets I Know and Time Does Not Exist or the passionate One Day I Will Leave You. All little gems that show the strength of the album. The title track All This Will Be Yours, strangely is the only song that could have been a The Pineapple Thief composition.

Bruce Soord came up with a more than excellent successor to his debut album. Like I wrote, this is a very personal album, and a great one too. My personal favourite; The Solitary Path Of A Convicted Man.
