There is not much info on Alejandro Villalón Renaud on the internet. He is from Mexico. Simbiosis is his first and, until now, only album he has released. Musically he is related to people like Steve Roach and Michael Stearns, creating atmospheric ambient music with a little element of ethnic and world music. His music is rather airy. He is using only high notes and no bass notes at all. Also the sounds that are used are rather thin and basic. In the genre of ambient music there is a thin line between cosmic revelation and being sonic wallpaper in the background. The music from this album is too often on the wrong side of this dividing line.

The title Simbiosis refers to a form of interaction and dependency from the different art disciplines of music, video, photography and graphical design.
