The Finnish prog rock band 5th Season released their eponymous album in 2023 (see review). This new album is a live recording of five of their songs recorded live during the 2024 Finnish Tour at Outojazz Festival, Outokumpu and at Höyrybaari, Lapinlahti. Songs which can also be found on their wonderful debut album. 5th Season pays tribute to notorious bands like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Procol Harum and even Yes and the five tracks played live on this album do not differ very much from the original songs on their debut album. Absolute highlight is again, just like on their first album, the song In Memoriam, an epic instrumental track with fabulous guitar solos from Tapio Ylinen. The On The Dark Side Of The Moon two parts remind me of The Alan Parsons Project, while I Am The Waves is again the rather a bit lame ballad on the setlist.
