Just after the collaboration with Steve Hogarth on Colours Not Found In Nature (2017, see review) Isildurs Bane came up with Off The Radar.

A quick release. Maybe because they went on the radar again. The CD contains six tracks that are written over the past 6 years. And if they are finished, why not release them.
When you listen you still hear the quite unique sound of Isildurs Bane. It's still mysteriously jazzy. The experimental use of the instruments, mainly synth based with a fair use of wind instruments, comes together in high quality musical compositions. Not always accessible, some tracks like Endless Air you'll need to listen a few times to let it land in your system.
Mentioning big names like King Crimson (Pat Mastelotto contributed in tracks 4 to 6) and Frank Zappa will give you an idea what to look for when it comes to determine a certain style of music that is well known to most of the Background Magazine readers. But the angle Isildurs Bane uses makes it extraordinary in its own way.
Very worth mentioning is the live track (Uvertyr/Open) that shows you how excellent a “guitar only” performance can sound. This beautiful Spanish guitar arrangement lets you hear the skilled Christian Saggese, who is not credited elsewhere on the CD.
