First thing that comes up in my mind is Eloy. Early Eloy that is (Floating and Inside era). No not the voice. The singer is very Italian. You could stereotype him as forceful and loud as many Italians are portrayed in movies and literature. And of course the language makes the picture complete. Is that wrong? No, it fits right in. The music can be upbeat at times and it harmonises. But as the time passes by, despite the numerous tempo changes and skilled guitar and synth solo's, flute interludes (think Jethro Tull/ Focus) and musical trips to different styles (like baroque or folk), and even with the (self-made) holy prog rule of making 2 (!!!) 10+ minute tracks it can't hold my attention. I dare to say, it gets a bit boring. The musicians are great. And I don't doubt their skills. It all sounds good.
